About Mel

Dream Project Coach

I help change-makers to finally get the results they really want for their business by owning their big vision and confidently taking the right steps with ease.

I have worked for myself for over twenty years and I love being my own boss! I feel extremely grateful and blessed that my consulting, training and coaching work has taken me all over the globe from Australia and New Zealand to the Caribbean to Scandinavia, Netherlands to South Africa. I’ve had the pleasure of coaching and training a wide range of people including CEOs, small business-owners, refugees, school-children, teenagers, return-to-work-mums and marketing professionals.

It hasn’t always been like that. Although I am used to leading workshops, working with Boards and public speaking in front of hundreds of people, I used to be so shy I would rather hide away. I used to undervalue myself so much I’d rather give my time away than charge what I am worth. Luckily I discovered that it is possible to grow ourselves no matter what our age, ability or experience. I spent over twenty years in intensive training learning how to coach, to lead and to heal. I am so grateful to the many coaches and business experts who have cared for me, coached me and taught me.

My passion is for coaching people like myself – freelancers, entrepreneurs and small business owners – who want to make a positive difference. As the owner of three thriving brands, I know from experience that when you feel a deep calling to share your natural talents and hard-earned skills with the world, it is the best adventure to just take a big leap and go beyond your fears.

“What’s your Dream?”

I have been coaching people successfully for 13 years. I’ve coached, trained and facilitated a wide range of people in the UK and abroad including CEOs, small business-owners, refugees, school-children, teenagers, return-to-work-mums and marketing professionals.

I am now a trained NLP Practitioner but people began to approach me and ask me to coach them well before I defined myself as a Coach.

“it’s pretty hard to be a good coach without some personal experience of the lows as well as the highs”

My husband says my default mindset is positive and that I put an upbeat spin on everything. When he first mentioned this to me I started to say, “Yes and the great thing about that is…” before he interrupted me by saying, “You’re doing it now!”.

Of course it’s not true that I am always positive. I’ve had difficult times in my life just like everyone else. In a way I am grateful for those times because they’ve helped me to grow. In fact I’d say that it’s pretty hard to be a good coach without some personal experience of the lows as well as the highs.

Helping you achieve your dreams

I love helping people to explore their minds, capabilities and dreams. It’s thrilling when a client of mine realises they are capable of way more than they thought, or when they break through a challenge that previously floored them or when they simply allow themselves a little more relaxation or fun in their lives.

My own Dream Projects include starting three successful small businesses. I have been successfully and happily self-employed for 20 years, founding a community arts festival (for which I won an award), founding an annual Peace festival, co-creating a great marriage, developing a powerful and healthy relationship to money, and adding more relaxation to my life; I take August off every year and simply enjoy doing whatever I want to do.
